Jenny Shermo, MBA, has been named as Security Health Plan regional president.
Shermo has been with Security Health Plan since 2007 and has a deep familiarity with all areas of operation, including most recently as chief growth officer where she oversaw 4% net growth in 2024. Shermo will report to Jerome Dioguardi, chief operating officer of Sanford Health Plan. Mr. Dioguardi leads operations for Sanford and Security Health Plans under a common management structure.
“Jenny knows Security Health Plan inside and out; she understands the challenges faced by the communities we serve – and the needs of our members. She is well positioned to lead the health plan into our next chapter, and I am thankful for her leadership,” said Dioguardi.
As regional president, Shermo will provide local leadership to Security Health Plan and be a key liaison between Security and Sanford Health Plan leadership.
“This is an exciting time for our health plan. I am pleased to have this opportunity to continue leading Security Health Plan through our integration with Sanford Health and paving a path for the future,” Shermo said. “We have many opportunities for growth and improvement ahead. I am grateful to all of our employees for helping guide our way as we continue to provide top-notch service for our members and employer clients. We are also extremely fortunate to have strong networks of agents and providers who our members count on for the high-quality care and service they deliver.”
Shermo has been active on national and statewide health plan industry policy and leadership advisory committees, has spoken on industry panels, webinars and podcasts, and is a member of the Marshfield Rotary Club. She earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point and her Master of Business Administration degree from Fitchburg State University. She has completed several executive leadership development programs over the course of her career.
