Applications for Humana Special Enrollment Period
SHP has been alerted by the Departments of Insurance in both North Dakota and South Dakota that Special Enrollment Periods (SEP's) have been awarded to Humana members facing significant network changes and plan availability. Affected members have received letters explaining their SEP, and have been instructed on their next steps. The SEP for both ND and SD runs until February 28, 2025.
As you assist these members in choosing new coverage, please be aware of the proper process for submitting applications to ensure smooth and timely processing.
On the "Eligibility For An Enrollment Period" screen in the Align application process, please select the SEP as outlined here.

For SEP #1, Humana network changes, please select the option "1/1-3/31: I'm in a Medicare Advantage plan and want to make a change" as shown below:
Please note that this is the same option to use for those currently on a Medicare Advantage plan that are shopping for new plans during Open Enrollment Period (January 1- March 31).
For SEP #2, where Humana is no longer available as a plan option, please select the option "My plan is ending its contract with Medicare, or Medicare is ending its contract with my plan" as shown below.
