Large Group Renewals 2023 myEnrollment
Employer groups renewing January 2023 that use Sanford Health Plan's myEnrollment portal:
If you are renewing January 1 and are currently using the myEnrollment portal to process your enrollment transactions, please note the following requirements for the renewal process.
- Any changes made by your employees that will generate a new ID card (i.e. new subscribers, changing deductibles…) must be entered into myEnrollment by December 5, 2022 to ensure ID cards are received by January 1st.
- Due to CMS regulations, all $2800 High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP) will no longer be available and members on this plan will automatically be terminated as of 12/31/2022. Refer to Scenario 2 or 3 below.

- Scenario 1: Groups making no changes to their deductible options:
- Members keeping the same benefit, enrollment will be passive; nothing needs to be entered for the new plan year.
- All other member additions, changes or terminations are required to be entered via myEnrollment portal.
- Scenario 2: Groups offering 1 deductible plan and changing the deductible amount for the new plan year:
- Sanford Health Plan will automatically transfer all members to the new deductible if instructed on the Renewal Attestation form. (i.e. transfer $2800 to $3000).
- All other member additions, changes or terminations are required to be entered via the myEnrollment portal.
- For member changes, termination dates need to be entered for the current benefit terminating prior to adding the new coverage.
- Scenario 3: Groups offering 2 or more deductible options: Enter any appropriate changes for the new year.
- Members keeping the same benefit, enrollment will be passive; nothing needs to be entered for the new plan year.
- All other member additions, changes or terminations are required to be entered via the myEnrollment portal.
- For member changes, termination dates need to be entered for the current benefit terminating prior to adding the new coverage.
- Members enrolled in an option not offered at renewal will not be enrolled for the following year unless changes are entered within myEnrollment.
- Scenario 1: Groups making no changes to their deductible options:
Reminder: For Scenario’s 2 & 3, employer groups will be notified when new group benefit structure codes are complete and changes can be entered into the myEnrollment portal. If you have any questions, please reach out to your Sales Account Manager.
