Tommy Ibrahim Named New Health Plan CEO
Sanford Health has named Tommy Ibrahim, M.D., MBA, the new president and CEO of Sanford Health Plan.
Dr. Ibrahim most recently served as president and CEO of Bassett Healthcare Network, an independent rural health system serving central New York state. While at Bassett, he led transformational change to establish an integrated care delivery system that provides exceptional health care services to rural and underserved communities in central New York.
“Dr. Ibrahim brings valuable leadership experience and clinical expertise to the role as we seek to unlock the full potential of an integrated, provider-sponsored health plan within our system for the benefit of our patients and members,” said Bill Gassen, Sanford Health president and CEO.
“He shares our organization’s values and is committed to working with the strong team of operators at Sanford Health Plan to transform the care experience for all those we have the privilege of serving.”
Dr. Ibrahim succeeds John Snyder who is retiring this year. Snyder will stay on in an advisory role as Dr. Ibrahim transitions into his new position.
