WEX Client Updates

WEX Leap Portal Client Renewals:

  • WEX sends out system generated renewal email notifications starting at 90, 60 & 30 days prior to the renewal date then daily until the renewal is completed in the LEAP portal.
  • Both clients and agent are included on the email notifications from WEX; however, no action is required on your part to renew on the LEAP portal. Sanford Health Plan is currently performing the renewal function on your behalf.
  • Once you submit your group health renewal, Sanford Health Plan will renew your coverage in the LEAP portal (renewal rates, SBC’s, group structure).
  • Clients will receive an email notification from WEX when the renewal is completed on the LEAP portal.
  • The renewal function will be passed along to clients to manage sometime mid-summer. Further communication will follow once the renewal process within the LEAP portal will become your responsibility.

WEX Client Renewal Key Reminders:

  1. Clients need to continue entering terminated employees on the LEAP portal then WEX will generate and mail the appropriate COBRA Election forms to the qualified beneficiary.
  2. Clients that have a change of internal users or external agent users will need to remove/update granted access within the LEAP portal.
